For more than 150 years, Edscha has been providing mobility and has thus paved the way from a small handicraft business to today's world's largest supplier of hinge systems.
We also have our next goal clearly in mind: to become the market leader for smart opening systems in the automotive sector. Our focus here is on developing system solutions that make life easier for the end user when entering and exiting the vehicle or during the loading process.
With modular, smart opening systems for side and sliding doors, for front and rear storage compartments, and intelligent communication between the actuators and the vehicle's central computer units, Edscha is already providing the first answers to megatrends such as digitalization, networking and electrification. In order to continue on this path successfully, decisive action is required. Thus, in addition to newly concluded strategic partnerships in the area of control units and sensor technology, structural changes are also required.
For this reason, Edscha founded Edscha Mechatronics Solutions GmbH based in Remscheid, which has been operational since January 1, 2023. In addition, we have a manufacturing network for mechatronics products worldwide with capacities in Europe, America and Asia.
Under this umbrella, we are bundling our core competencies and entrepreneurial infrastructure for mechatronic system projects. This makes us more flexible, faster and more powerful!
