What tasks can you expect?
Requirement: qualified lower secondary school leaving certificate or intermediate secondary school
Duration of apprenticeship: 3.5 years
Industrial mechanics manufacture components by means of manual and automatic metal cutting and forming. They build and test pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and install assemblies. In the production of door hinges or door checks, for example, their job is to set up, commission, control, monitor and maintain automatic production facilities and manufacturing systems. They detect malfunctions, find defects and eliminate the causes.
