From January 18 to 21, Edscha and Gestamp presented innovative technologies at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in India.
Gestamp showcased its cutting edge solutions that help car manufacturers meet the requirements of the mobility of the future, complying with safety standards, reducing COâ‚‚ emissions and maintaining cost efficiency.
Some of the key innovations displayed at the event included the following:
- GES-GIGASTAMPING® family: large components that lighten vehicle weight, increase safety, improve efficiency in manufacturing processes and reduce assembly times.
- Chassis developments for electric vehicles, such as Highpertube (high-strength tube material) in subframe designs, which is key in crash performance.
- Active Frunk by Edscha: a solution specially tailored for electric vehicles that combines an electric system for fully automatic opening and closing of the front lid with a hinge for active pedestrian protection.
Visitors to the stand were able to experience live how Gestamp and Edscha are actively driving forward the transformation of the automotive industry with innovative developments.
Gestamp in India
Gestamp has been present in the Indian market since 2006. The company began operations that year and, two years later, began construction of its first plant in Pune. Today, Gestamp operates four production plants in India: three in Pune (Pune I, Pune II, and Chennai) and one Edscha plant in Chakan, employing over 1,000 people. Additionally, the company has sales offices in Maharashtra and R&D capabilities in Pune.
