With the construction of a brand-new site in Hefei, China, Edscha is marking an important milestone in its global growth strategy.
The site in Anhui Province is located in one of the most dynamic regions for new energy mobility and strengthens the company’s presence in one of the world’s most dynamic automotive markets.
The new site is expected to commence operations in Summer 2026. Covering an area of approximately 67,000 square meters, the site will bring together production, research & development, and administration under one roof. Around 650 employees will develop and manufacture door hinges, door checks, and tailgate hinges here. Thanks to modern, automated, and intelligent production lines, production capacity in China will more than triple. The existing Edscha site in Hefei will be phased out as part of the relocation.
The new site also offers clear advantages for clients: The close integration of development, production, and sales on-site enables faster response times and greater flexibility. At the same time, proximity to key OEMs and suppliers ensures efficient supply chains and agile collaboration. This opens up new market opportunities for Edscha in the field of new energy vehicles. The new site is a decisive step toward actively shaping the sustainable development of this sector.
With this new site, Edscha is making its largest single investment to date in China, thereby underscoring its long-term commitment to the market.
