Remscheid, February 1, 2019 – The international automotive supplier Edscha, a member of the Spanish Gestamp Group since 2010, has been singled out by the Top Employers Institute as a “Top Employer Deutschland 2019”. In recent years the company has repeatedly received the “Top Employer Deutschland Automotive” award, which recognizes exceptional performance in HR management and HR strategy. Edscha was honored for its continuous efforts to improve its employees’ working environment and promote their professional development.
“Edscha is a leader when it comes to employee development,” says Peter Laerberg, Director of Human Resources at the Edscha Group. “This certification will motivate us to keep improving the quality of our HR organization. By giving our employees opportunities to enhance their skills, we pave the way for success and growth.”
David Plink, CEO of the Top Employers Institute: “By putting a focus on employee development, companies like Edscha play a major role in shaping the working environment over the long term. They can truly be called employers of choice.”
The award is the result of an independent investigation by the Top Employers Institute, which has been certifying employers with outstanding human resources policies and strategies around the globe since 1991. To become certified, Edscha went through a multi-stage certification program that included evaluation and auditing in ten areas: talent strategy, human resource planning, onboarding, training and development, performance management, executive development, career and successor planning, compensation and benefits as well as the company culture.
The exclusive certification gives potential employees guidance when choosing an employer: they are provided with objective evidence of a company’s qualities as an employer. The company in turn benefits from the award by strengthening its reputation as an employer. This helps with the competition for well-trained specialists. In addition to Edscha, 121 other companies received a Top Employer Deutschland distinction.
