Remscheid, February 1, 2018 – The international automotive supplier Edscha, a member of the Spanish Gestamp Group since 2010, has again been singled out by the Top Employers Institute as a “Top Employer Deutschland Automotive”. The award recognizes Edscha’s outstanding performance in HR management and HR strategy. Edscha was honored for the focus it puts on giving its employees opportunities for personal and professional development.
“We’re proud to have won this distinction once again,” says Peter Laerberg, Director of Human Resources at the Edscha Group. “We give our employees excellent opportunities for development, both personally and in their careers. In this way we lay the foundation for growth and continuous improvement.”
“Edscha has created an outstanding environment for its employees and is working steadily to improve it,” comments Steffen Neefe, Country Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at the Top Employers Institute. “This includes offering innovative secondary benefits, creating modern and flexible working conditions and maintaining an effective performance management system in keeping with the corporate culture.” Among other things the secondary benefits include offers for health advice, business mediation and numerous company sports opportunities.
The award is the result of an independent investigation by the Top Employers Institute, which has been certifying employers with outstanding human resources policies and strategies around the globe since 1991. The institute puts a strong emphasis on objectivity and neutrality. “Top Employer” certification is given only to companies that have shown that they fulfill the highest standards of human resources management and interest in employee development. “Top Employers” offer their employees excellent working conditions and provide them with opportunities for further growth. The latest certification involved
evaluation and critical scrutiny in nine areas: talent strategy, human resource planning, the integration of new employees, training and development, performance management, executive development, career and successor planning, compensation and benefits as well as the company culture.
The certification gives potential employees guidance when choosing an employer: they are provided with objective evidence of a company’s qualities as an employer. The company in turn benefits from the award by strengthening its reputation as an employer. This helps with the competition for well-trained specialists. In addition to Edscha, 14 other companies received a Top Employer Deutschland Automotive distinction.
