Quality from Germany

Edscha has been producing in the lower Bavarian town of Hengersberg since 1963. This is our biggest location in Germany. On a production area of around 30,000 square meters we manufacture mainly hinge systems, brake pedals, handbrakes and electric drives for liftgates. Hengersberg possesses considerable manufacturing expertise and a high level of automation in production.

Production

  • Approx. 49 million hinges per year (door, hood and rear lid hinges)
  • Approx. 2.6 million driver controls per year (handbrakes, foot controls)
  • Cutting machines: approx. 230,000 parts per day

Consumption

  • Sectional steel: approx. 21,000 tonnes per year;
    approx. 95 tonnes per day
  • Forgings: approx. 5 million parts per year;
    approx. 22,000 parts per day
  • Strip steel: approx. 46,000 tonnes per year;
    approx. 200 tonnes per day
