Award for human resources management and strategy

Edscha certified as Top Automotive Employer

  • Certification will help the company attract well-trained workers

Remscheid, November 15
, 2013 – “Top Employer” certification was awarded yesterday evening to the international automotive supplier Edscha, which has belonged to the Spanish Gestamp Group since 2010. The certification is given to employers who have shown above-average concern for their employees. Edscha received this honor in recognition of its forward-looking approach to human resources, ongoing efforts to improve its working environment and investment in the development of its employees.

“Edscha attaches great importance to the well-being of its employees,” explains Peter Laerberg, HR manager of the Edscha Group. “We give them opportunities for both personal and professional development, in this way paving the way for growth and continuous improvement in our company.

As a global market leader with state-of-the-art technology we must steadily attract highly talented engineers. For this reason it is very helpful to receive recognition for our excellence as an employer.”

The award is the result of a study by the Top Employers Institute, which has certified employers with outstanding human resources policies and strategies since 1991. Companies earn certification as Top Employers by showing that they provide an excellent environment for their employees in all areas and are working continually to improve employees’ skills. The study included an evaluation and critical examination of primary benefits, secondary benefits, work-life balance, training and development, career opportunities, corporate culture and innovation management.

For university graduates, particularly those in technical disciplines, this certification is of great help when it comes to selecting an employer. Employers, in turn, have the advantage of greater visibility in the competition to attract skilled workers. In addition to Edscha, 23 other companies received a Top Automotive Employer distinction.
